Mini golf is a fun activity for both kids and adults alike, and we can recommend some great indoor and outdoor spots for you to enjoy!

Mulligan’s Golf & Games

Just a few miles down Interstate 15 in South Jordan, Mulligan’s Golf & Games is a premier destination for mini-golf and much more. Open seven days a week with extended hours for summer, Mulligan’s offers 36 holes of beautifully manicured, themed miniature golf. “The Haunted House” and “Lighthouse” courses both feature bridges, tunnels, and waterfalls along their 18 holes. At night, the courses both have lit features for extra ambiance. Adults (age 12 and up) play for $7.50 and kids play for $6.00.

If you’re in the mood to tee off on a regulation nine-hole course instead, Mulligan’s has two user-friendly options for golfers of all skill levels. “The Ridge” is an executive course with par 3’s, par 4’s, and a par 5, while “The Meadow” has nine par 3 holes. With golf clubs, pull carts, or riding carts available for rent, you can give golf a try without committing to buying all the gear. At $8.00 or $10.00 a game, it’s an affordable way to spend a morning.

You may also enjoy an hour or so at the driving range, featuring both artificial and natural hitting areas in the outdoor facility. If the weather turns, hit a bucket of balls on the covered, heated, or fan-cooled area. Buckets start at $6.50.

Other activities at Mulligan’s include batting cages for baseball and softball, foot golf (a sport combining the agility of soccer with the skill of golf), a running race series for kids and adults, and a variety of lessons and classes.

Cherry Hill

A few miles to the north in Fruit Heights, you’ll find the most challenging 18-hole miniature golf course in Utah at Cherry Hill. The course has been recently updated with new features, and each hole has its own theme. You’ll play through windmills, castles, or replicas of Utah’s famous mountains. Each game costs $8.00 for adults and children, and a 10-hole punch card is available for a slight discount per game at $70.00.

In October, Cherry Hill transforms into Scary Hill, and the course takes on a Halloween theme, with witches, spiders, and pumpkins decorating the holes. Other Halloween activities include hundreds of skeletons lining the Boneyard Tractor Ride and spooky treats in the Pie Pantry. In the warmer months, the family can enjoy a day at Cherry Hill’s water park, with a replica pirate ship full of water features and fountains to splash in, foam-padded water slides, giant twisty water slides, a lazy river, and two swimming pools. Reserve a luxury poolside cabana for up to eight people to enjoy a quiet moment out of the sun with your own mini-fridge, fan, table, and loungers.

Cherry Hill also offers campsites for plenty of time to enjoy all the other activities like foam ball tag, a rock-climbing wall, trampolines, a ball crawl, and gem mining. Three restaurants and gift shops complete the experience for a day of fun, a special event, or a birthday party.

Fat Cats

You can head north to Ogden or south to Salt Lake City to either of our area’s Fat Cats locations. Fat Cats takes mini-golf to a whole new level with its pirate-themed, glow-in-the-dark experience. You’ll play nine holes with a soundtrack of fun music in their indoor facility. Weather is never a problem at Fat Cats.

After a round of mini-golf, you can skip cooking and enjoy a meal. Burgers, pizza, chicken tenders, and fries come with plenty of dipping sauces to please everyone. If the family is in the mood for other entertainment, Fat Cats has modern movie theaters, an arcade, a virtual reality gaming experience, and bowling. Perfect your skills with regular daytime bowling or bowl at night during Thunder Alley under the neon lights.

Fat Cats is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. They can host your child’s birthday party or special event with a sampling of all the activities.

Boondock’s Food and Fun

Take the kids to play mini-golf at one of Utah’s two Boondock’s Food and Fun locations in Draper or Kaysville. Two 18-hole courses are decked out in elaborate themes, including a 30-foot volcano with two challenging holes inside, and random eruptions to keep you on your toes. Waterfalls, an angry tiki man who blows water, fire, and smoke, and suspended bridges surround some seriously challenging holes. One round is $8.00 with a discounted rate of $4.00 for golfers under 4 feet tall. Boondock’s is open seven days a week into the evening, though hours can vary based on special events, so it’s worth checking the online calendar before your visit.

Other Boondock’s activities include go-karting, bumper boats, laser tag, and a kiddie zone. The in-house restaurant has a full menu with pizza, burgers, salads, appetizers, and a menu for the kids. You can rent the whole facility for corporate outings or holiday parties, or host a fun-filled birthday party for the kids. You can celebrate a good report card at Boondock’s, with free game credits for A or B grades, and on your birthday you can be the special recipient of a free three-hour pass to enjoy mini-golf and all the activities you can fit.
