Story Tours: Ogden and Salt Lake City Ghost Tours
We kick off our list with a popular ghost tour. By bus or on foot, you can learn the haunted history of Salt Lake City's oldest local establishments on the Ogden and Salt Lake City Ghost Tours. Wander Whiskey Street and learn about the murders and mayhem of yesteryear, or sneak through the Salt Lake City Cemetery and learn about the lives of those who lie below the tombstones. Tours run throughout October, but if you can't wait that long, they are available anytime of year for groups of four or more who call ahead.

Can you stand the suspense of the spirits within? With a combination of live actors and animatronics, Hidden Lake Haunts is sure to thrill anyone ages 12 and up.

With four haunted houses at one location, Night Stalkers Haunted Trail is your one-stop shop for Halloween fun. Start off with Creatures of the Corn, where something spooky is around every turn in their field. Then, face your fears in Phobia, where every greatest fear is realized.

Fear Factory
Rated as one of the best Halloween attractions in the world, Fear Factory in Salt Lake City is sure to scare the pants off of you. Just a short drive from Bountiful, this mass of haunted buildings dwells in the formerly abandoned Portland Cement Factory. With a violent history of brutal injuries, dismemberment, and death, the Portland Cement Factory became legendary for the gruesome fates of its workers, becoming the perfect haunted backdrop for a massive collection of haunted attractions.
Featuring zombie buses, zip-lining, virtual reality, hands-on experiences, and more, it's no wonder Fear Factory is hailed a top Halloween attraction year after year. Just make sure you sign their waiver before you enter, if you dare.

Dead City Haunted House
Just a short drive away from Bountiful, Dead City Haunted House in Murray, Utah, is sure to offer frights for all fear levels. This haunted house boasts three levels of scare differentiation. At level one, you hold a glow stick to ward off the scariest actors and walk through the haunted house without fear. At level two, prepare to be scared by the actors, but they promise you won't be touched. If you dare, you can choose level three and wear a glow necklace to show that you're brave enough to be touched by the actors. Just don't forget to sign your waiver.

Nightmare on 13th
With two attractions at one location, look no further than Nightmare on 13th for an award-winning Halloween experience. Since 1990, Nightmare on 13th has gained incredible success for its hair-raising haunts, and has grown to 36,000 square feet of frightful fun. Looking for something more interactive? Escape on 13th hosts four different escape rooms with varied levels of difficulty so you and your group can spend an hour working together to solve the puzzles and escape the room. Just remember to arrive a little early, since Nightmare on 13th requires you to sign a waiver.

The Addams Family Musical
The last, but not least, attraction on our list is very different from all the others. Are you more interested in seeing a show than wandering through a haunted house? Then Clearfield Community Arts Center's performance of "The Addams Family" is just right for you. Join Gomez, Morticia, Wednesday, and Pugsley as they sing and dance to tell their tale in this musical performance. Perfect for any age, this musical comedy is mysterious and spooky for your whole family. Shows run Oct. 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, and 29 at 7 p.m., and tickets cost $10 for kids and $15 for adults.
