This local ice cream shop offers freshly made ice cream in a variety of different flavors. To make their ice cream, they pour the cream onto a frozen anvil, combine the ingredients, and freeze. The ice cream is rolled into small batches and served for you to enjoy. The small batches that are frozen on an anvil make this ice cream stop a unique one.
There are plenty of flavors to choose from, including Brownies n' Chocolate, Fresh Raspberry, Double Vanilla, Banana Nutella, Campfire S'mores, Dough n' Cookies, Chocolate Peanut Cup, White Mint Chip, Caramel Cashew, Honeybud, and Backcountry Berry Cheesecake. Nielsen's Frozen Custard
Bountiful is the place where Nielsen's Frozen custard started. They have expanded since the location opened in 1989, and they offer tasty frozen custard that you will happily return for. Nielsen's Frozen Custard is known for its concretes, which are a very thick shake that you eat with a spoon. The frozen custard that makes up the concrete is made fresh every few hours with real dairy cream, rich eggs, and other ingredients.
To create such a thick, smooth, and creamy texture, they use a special freezing machine unique to Nielsen's, which keeps all the air out of the frozen custard. There is an added bonus that the frozen custard has less fat than normal ice cream. If you want to try the classic concrete, there are over 30 flavors to choose from. In addition to your classic flavors, you can choose flavors like coconut, lemon, Orange Cow, pretzel, waffle cone, cake batter, apple pie, and cheesecake. You are invited to get creative and make your own combination of concrete.
They also have nut concretes at Nielsen, which combine concrete flavors with almonds, cashews, pecans, peanuts, walnuts, and pistachio.
If you are more of a cone type of person, you can choose vanilla, chocolate, or the flavor of the day in a cone with the option of a single, double, or triple scoop. You can add a waffle cone and whipped cream to your treat as well. Nielsen also offers toppings to put on your frozen custard, sundaes, sodas, and floats. If you love their frozen custard, consider taking a pint for the road.
